Newt Falls & Pump CoverOur Newt Falls is a very versatile sculpture for use in creating stunning habitats for water loving critters such as newts, axolotl, salamanders, snakes and turtles. It can be set up in any size aquarium from twenty gallons to much larger habitats for water dragons or other large lizards. One can achieve an excellent natural tiering effect from land to water at any desired level. Pockets can be planted with live or silk plants or filled with rock as gravel bars for basking. The pump is set in a spot below the water level. It pumps water to the Newt Falls where it flows out of a hole in a rock at the top of the falls and cascades back down between the plant pockets into the pond.

This fuzzy black and white picture is the only one we can find of a Newt Falls set up and running in an aquarium. It does show, however, how a Newt Falls can be used to add a point of interest to your display
Nesting Pockets for Water TurtlesThe strange looking sculpture below actually has a very practical function. It was made for loggerhead musk turtles to use as an underwater cave, a basking spot and, most importantly, as a place in which they can lay their eggs. The whole sculpture fits down inside an aquarium with the top two or three inches above water. The nesting pocket is filled with sand or other suitable material and can easily be accessed by the turtles from the basking platform. We hope to have pictures very soon of this new creation settled into its aquatic home along with the loggerhead musk turtles. This sculpture is an experimental piece and we're waiting to see how well it works. We'll let you know as soon as we find out. Front view Back view Top view.
